My Training and Treatment Philosphy
Hello, I’m Lindsey. If you are here, you are either looking for help for yourself or for a loved one. I encourage you to make that call. I have over a decade of experience in psychiatric mental health care for teens and adults. As a Nurse Practitioner I offer both therapy and medications. I am looking for patients who want a unique, compassionate provider that can offer treatment tailored to their individual needs. I have over a decade of experience treating patients through various modalities for depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, OCD, Autism, and more. I am a provider who respects everyone's individual challenges, preferences, and needs. I believe patients do the best when they are an active member in their treatment plan, and use a collaborative approach, where you are treated as more than a patient- you are empowered to make decisions to actively improve your mental wellness and allow you to thrive.
I received my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner degree from Shenandoah University in Virginia, and undergraduate Bachelor’s in Nursing from Frostburg State University in Maryland. I am certified to treat patients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults. I have a background working as a psychiatric provider in several settings including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient care. For the past 6 years I have offered outpatient treatment in private practice.
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, I worked as a psychiatric RN case manager for children and adults with severe and persistent mental illness and autism spectrum disorders. In my time off work I enjoy cooking, photography, and traveling.
I have specialized training in: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Recovery including Sexual Assault/Abuse, ADHD coaching, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Nutrition, Functional and Integrative Medicine.
